Barwood Land entered into a promotion agreement with the owner of approximately 20 acres of greenfield land located on the northern edge of Kineton in 2012.
Barwood Land immediately set about working up an outline planning application for 90 new homes and a small-scale business park predicated on council’s failure to provide a five-year supply of housing land. The application was worked up in consultation with the Parish Council and local Stakeholders.
The council granted consent in August 2013 and following a marketing exercise by the landowner’s agent, Fisher German, the housing site was unconditionally sold to Bloor Homes in February 2014.
Following an unsuccessful period of marketing, Barwood Land sought to re-visit the planning consent obtained for the small-scale business park. In January 2015 it submitted a detailed planning application for 20 additional homes. This application was granted permission in March 2016. The land was with the benefit of the new planning consent was marketed by Fisher German and sold to Barwood Homes in an arm’s length transaction.
