Having secured a local plan allocation for a 1,900 home residential-led development, we submitted a planning application, and engaged closely with the local authority to overcome complex technical matters and to develop a strong design code for the site to guide its phased delivery.
This is an important scheme for the local area and is needed to help address an urgent need to address a significant housing supply shortfall. It will also deliver and contribute towards new and improved community facilities and services, including a new primary school on site and medical centre that is being planned in the local area.
The Council’s planning committee supported the application and planning permission was granted in summer 2020.
We are currently selling Phase 2, which comprises of 7.86 hectares with the opportunity to build 283 new homes.
