Our promotion of this 12.39ha site located on the western edge of Shepshed secured an allocation in the draft Charnwood Local Plan and achieved grant of outline planning permission for 210 dwellings following a shortfall in Charnwood Borough Council’s Housing Land Supply in January 2022.
The scheme will deliver up to 210 new homes to include both market and affordable dwellings, a network of walking and cycling connections, a Local Equipped Area of Play, extensive and attractive public open spaces, generous planting, meadow grasslands and native hedgerows with biodiversity enhancements of existing green infrastructure and a buffer to the ancient woodland, as well as a sustainable drainage system and financial contributions to education, healthcare facilities and formal sports provision.
